1.1 This External Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as: the “Policy”) is used by Copier Engineering B.V., a private company with limited liability under Dutch law, registered in the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce under registration number 55954367, having its registered office in Giessen and having its place of business in (4283 JJ) Giessen at the Bedrijvenstraat 13 (hereinafter referred to as: “Copier” or “We”). Copier can be reached by sending an email to sales@copierbv.com.

1.2 This Policy is applicable to any and all processing of data that identify you as well as data that can be used to identify you (hereinafter referred to as: “Personal Data”) by Copier, including but not limited to use of the website www.copiermachinery.com (hereinafter referred to as: the “Website”).
1.3 The Website is offered to you by Copier as a private individual and/or an entrepreneur (hereinafter referred to as: the “Client”) to be used for the representation of pipe machinery via the internet.

1.4 Copier is the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) in respect of the Personal Data processed through the Website. The customer is the data subject within the meaning of the GDPR. Copier relies on the unambiguous consent of the data subject (which can be revoked) or the necessity of the processing for the implementation of the agreement concluded with you as the basis for the processing of data. You can address Copier in case of questions or comments about your privacy. This Policy is only meant to inform you of the processing of your Personal Data by Copier.

1.4 Copier is entitled to change this Policy at any time. If this Policy is changed then the changed version shall be communicated to you through publication on the website of Copier.

2. Processing of Personal Data

2.1 Copier is the controller and determines the purpose and the resources for the processing of Personal Data. The Website only process Personal Data for the benefit of Copier.

2.2 Personal Data are entered by you in the Website is collected by Copier through the use of the Website when downloading brochures or requesting information from Copier. The following Personal Data are processed via the Website:

2.3 Copier retains your Personal Data as long as this is required to realise the purpose of the processing and to facilitate the use of the Website.

3.1 Copier determines the purpose of the processing of Personal Data. Below an enumeration is provided of the various purposes for the processing of Personal Data:

4.1 If you supply electronic contact details to Copier then these Personal Data may be used to make proper use of the Website possible. By making use of the Website, you indicate that you agree with receiving emails from Copier about the Website and its operation.

5. Recipients of Personal Data

5.1 The data, including Personal Data, on the Website is basically only available to Copier. Copier only discloses Personal Data to third parties if this is required for the implementation of an agreement, e.g., to comply with a statutory obligation.

5.2 The Personal Data for the use of the Website can be stored on the server space of third parties, e.g., DailyCMS, Mailchimp. Copier ensures that Personal Data is basically processed and stored in the European Economic Area (hereinafter referred to as: the “EEA”). If Personal Data is transferred from the EEA then Copier shall take measures in order that the transfer of Personal Data shall take place on the basis of appropriate safeguards in order that Personal Data is protected against unlawful processing or loss.

6. Use of cookies

6.1The copiermachinery.com website and our application use cookies. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent via your browser and stored on your computer. The cookies that Copier places on your computer are used for the following purposes:

  • Improving copiermachinery.com by gaining insight into how the website is used.
  • Improve our marketing activities.
  • Remembering sessions and email addresses for the copiermachinery.com application.

8. Security

8.1 Copier feels very strongly about the security of Personal Data. That is why Copier takes, in consideration of the state of the art, the implementation costs and the nature, the scope, the context and the processing purposes as well as the divergent risks to the rights and freedoms of a natural person in terms of the probability and seriousness, appropriate technical and organisational measures to guarantee a security level in line with the risk.

8.2 The following technical and organisational measures are taken by Copier:

  • Pseudonymisation and encryption of Personal Data through an SSL Certificate.

9. Your rights

9.1 The GDPR gives you, as the data subject, certain rights in respect of your Personal Data. On the basis of the GDPR you are entitled to the following rights:

  • Objection: Depending on the situation, you are entitled to object to the processing of your Personal Data and the circumstances in which this takes place.
  • Access: You are entitled to, at reasonable intervals, inform yourself of the fact if i) your Personal Data are processed, ii) for what purposes the said processing takes place, iii) what categories of Personal Data are involved, and iv) who the recipients or categories of recipients of Personal Data are.
  • Change, deletion, blocking, removal, rectification, transfer: Under circumstances you are entitled to have Personal Data corrected, supplemented, removed or protected, rectified or transferred if Personal Data are actually incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant to the purpose or purposes of the processing or are in any way whatsoever processed in violation of a statutory provision.
  • Notification: You are entitled to receive a notification from the parties who received your Personal Data if your Personal Data were corrected, supplemented, deleted or protected following your request. The above applies unless this kind of notification is impossible or requires an unreasonable effort on the part of a controller.

9.2 You can exercise the aforementioned rights in a transparent manner. You can do this by sending a message to sales@copierbv.com. Copier shall forthwith, however within four weeks, react to the request. If you request Copier to delete or block your Personal Data then it may be that you can no longer use the Website (properly).

10. Term and termination

10.1 This Policy is applicable until termination by Copier. If you no longer want to be bound by the provisions set forth in this Policy then you must discontinue your use of the Website.

11. Applicable law and disputes

11.1 Dutch law is exclusively applicable to this Policy and to each and every agreement between you and Copier.
