The softdrop transfer enables the safe and controlled placement of pipes onto roller conveyors. In many transfer
points, pipes only need to be moved from a cross conveyor onto a roller conveyor, but not back again. Costly and
complex transfer mechanics can be avoided here: the copier Softdrop lets the pipe slide gently and reliably onto the roller
conveyor. While in some production facilities pipes would roll off freely at these points, the Softdrop transfer prevents exactly that. Instead, pipes are cushioned by chains and then carefully lowered onto the conveyor system. This increases
safety, protects both the workpiece and the system, and significantly reduces noise compared to uncontrolled rolling.
Another highlight: the module requires no separate drive. The hydro-pneumatic damping system can reliably absorb pipe
weights ranging from just a few kilograms up to 8 tons and safely transfer them.
